Warrior Taekwondo Academy was founded in 2008 in Brown Edge, Stoke on Trent by Simon Jones as a way to pass on the benefits he had received from training in Taekwondo to his children. This quickly turned into a rapidly expanding Academy with two locations and many students. We teach the Korean art of Taekwondo under the rules of the WTF (World Taekwondo Federation). We teach Taekwondo as a Traditional Art, an Olympic Sport and a Practical Self Defence.

We are members of the UTA – United Taekwondo Association,  headed by Vice Chairman Master T W Shin 8th Dan Korea one of the Highest graded Korean Masters in Great Britain , Master Shin is one of the most respected Korean Taekwondo Masters in this country and has trained most of the top Taekwondo players and Instructors in this country. His Instructor is grand Master Kim Soon Bae, 9th Dan. We are also members of the BTCB – British Taekwondo Control Board, the governing body for WTF – World Taekwondo Federation, Olympic Taekwondo in this country.

Why Are We Different?

When Simon was learning, classes were taught with all ages (kids & adults) and levels (beginners to black belts) in the same class, he felt that there had to be a better way.. At Warrior Taekwondo Childrens classes and Adult classes are taught seperately. Today, we help children and adults from all walks of life get a kickstart in the martial arts.
